Finally......More Wedding Pictures!

OK. I figured it was about time to post more wedding pictures. Enjoy!

My friend Tammy (she had the idea) and I made our card box.
I was very proud how it turned out and am even thinking
about maybe making more and selling them. What do you think?

Some Exciting News!

It seems like we've been keeping very busy the last couple of months. Working on the house, celebrating the holidays, and digging out of the snow.

We've been trying to keep up with all this crazy weather we've been having this winter. We spent Christmas trapped in the house. Jason said if no one hears from him for a few days, come looking for him because we were trapped in the house too long together. The snow started on Thursday afternoon and we finally were able to scoop out on Saturday afternoon. It was nice to spend our first Christmas together! Jason got an I-pod that he absolutely loves! (You will find out, I'm horrible about remembering to take pictures so I don't have any) I got a GPS for Christmas so I've been playing with that and I won't ever get lost in Omaha again!

We have both been VERY busy starting new projects at work and keeping all the employees at each of our jobs on track. By the time we get home, we are exhausted! On the weekends, we've been doing little projects on the house. Painting (only the 3 bedrooms upstairs left, but they will be finished in the next couple of weeks.), finding decorating ideas, and football. Jason lets me know whenever there's a football game on TV and all projects have to stop so he can watch them. Needless to say, there's been ALOT of football on the last 3 or 4 weeks.

Now for the exciting news! My sister, Bonnie, is pregnant. She told everyone at the family Christmas and she will find out tomorrow, Tuesday, when she is due. I will be an Aunt again!

Slowly but surely........

As I said in the previous blog, we have been busy improving the house to make it our home. Since the wedding, we have painted all the bathrooms, the kitchen and dining room, added hardware to the kitchen cabinents, painted the living room, and insulated and put up OSB in the garage. Whew!!! I'm exhausted thinking about doing all that work!

Our next projects included, painting the bedrooms and the upstairs hallway. Jason is diappointed that his favorite paint store went out of business, but he managed to get a GREAT deal on paint before they closed their doors for good. We are also planning on finishing the basement, building a shed in the backyard, and increasing the size of the patio in the backyard (we are not sure what we going to do to the patio yet).

Enjoy the pictures below of some of our home projects!

We decided to paint the living room beige with a burnt orange accent wall.

The garage was a larger project than we thought. We insulated it, which was the easy part and put up OSB. The OSB took a lot of time. We learned rather quickly what each of our roles were. Jason would do the cutting and I would take the measurements.

I must say, I was rather excited about the color of the kitchen and dining room. The first couple of pictures are the finished product and the later pictures are the during and before pictures.

Projects, projects, and more projects!!!

Well, now that the wedding is over and all the thank-you's have been sent out, there is something we need to do with our time to keep busy. To say the least, we have started on house projects. The first project is insultaing the garage and putting up OSB onto the walls. Two weeks ago, the electrician came over to the house and put in more outlets and two 8 foot shop lights. What a difference the lights made! We don't have to find things in the garage by way of a couple 60 watt bulbs.

Last weekend, we put in the insulation and mostly finished putting OSB onto the walls (yes we are both rookies at this, but we manage to work together without problems; we do work well together). We will finish putting up the OSB this week and the garage is complete. Then, onto the next project.

When we moved into the house, every wall was painted a tan with a pink tint. It wasn't too terrible to look at at first; however, we are tired of looking at pink walls. We don't know what color we will paint anything, but we do know we like color and every room will be different color. At least I married a professional painter that has some experience choosing paint colors that brings out colors in wood-work and curtains! Can't wait to see what color we choose for each room!

As each project becomes complete, I will post before, during, and completion of each project. Check back for pictures and updates!

Let the Journey Begin

Jason and I (ok more me than Jason) thought we would join everyone else in the blogging world and set up our own blog. We thought this was the perfect time since we got married three weeks ago.

Although this isn't a promise, we will try to keep the blog updated weekly. We have a lot to share with everyone and we know many of you are eager, just as we are, to see pictures from the wedding.

For now, here is a few of the wedding pictures I have been teased with!
