This past Saturday, Jason and I had the opportunity to spend the day learning about childbirth and what we can expect. Now, the irony of the class is that I really didn't want to take the class, but Jason has been a train wreck lately with all his emotions.
For those of you who know us, knows these emotions are the complete opposite of us. Usually I am the one who has many emotions running through me and I am nervous, excited, anxious, etc.
Overall the class was really good, and we discussed the different stages of labor, when to go to the hospital, what the nurses and doctor will do to the baby after she is born, what to expect the first few days after delivery, and we even took a tour of labor and delivery and the postpartum suites.
I think the class calmed Jason's nerves, but earlier he was on the computer researching labor, childbirth, etc for about an hour while I did household chores (laundry, dishes, made dinner) and he didn't offer to help, which is completely out of his norm.
We are supposed to attend a friends housewarming party about 6 hours away this weekend, but Jason doesn't want to venture too far from home so I guess we will see on Saturday how I am feeling. No, I haven't been having regular contractions, but I have been having contractions and the doctor told me today I could go anytime. Whatever that means!
Stay tuned for more updates!
Welcome to the Clark family blog. Yes, you probably heard it through the grapevine, but you can read it right here! Both Jason and Kim grew up in Nebraska and about five years ago planted their roots in small-town Seward, Nebraska. Jason works in the construction field and Kim shares her love of agriculture working for corn farmers. They have two spirited, inquisitive, highly-energetic children. Olivia is three and Liam recently turned a year old.

It's Shower Time!!!
Between all the holidays, my friends and my sisters each threw us a baby shower. Each of the showers were wonderful. I have the best friends and family members. We couldn't believe all the baby items we received. I think we should have nearly everything we will need, but I am sure there is something we didn't receive or we forgot to get.
All we need to bring her home is a car seat, diapers, and a set of clothes. We have all that so we should be good for the first couple hours we are home.
Thank you to all our friends and family that attended one of the baby showers and helped us with our supply of baby items! We appreciate each and every one of you!
